CHEMS Audio Training for Ministry of Women's Affairs
Earlier this year CHEMS ran a series of three trainings for radio staff from the Ministry of Women's Affairs, supported by BTC. The trainings built on the skills the MoWA staff already had, and gave them the confidence to try new techniques and come up with new and exciting ways to present their programmes. The three trainings included; Basic Audio Techniques, Audio Editing and Writing Drama for Radio.
Congratulations to the MoWA staff for their hard work and we look forward to hearing their future programming.
Reducing Maternal Mortality in Cambodia
CHEMS will work in partnership with Options and several other NGO's in Cambodia on the DFID funded 2.4 million pound initiative to reduce maternal mortality in Cambodia through the provision of safe abortion care, long-term family planning and equity fund support. CHEMS contribution will begin later in 2007.
CHEMS films mini-documumentary focusing on Cambodian Conservation
Conservation International, in collaboration with the Cambodian Forestry Administration and Flora and Fauna International recently contracted CHEMS to film and produce a mini-documentary on the release of Cambodia's mountain crocodiles back into their natural habitat. The team endured heat and harsh conditions to reach the remote area of Chrolong Areng, about 90 kilometres east of Koh Kong in the south-west of Cambodia. These crocodiles are a seriously threatened species in South East Asia and Cambodia is one of the few remaining places they can be found. Please contact Conservation International for further information about the documentary.
