CHEMS has an expert Video Team and fully equipped in-house
studio with the capacity to produce, mini drama, T.V spots
and documentaries.
To reinforce health messages, CHEMS produces annual media campaigns targeted at young people. Video and radio spots and health advertisements are produced and broadcast on national television, cinema, radio, as well as a range of printed material in newspapers and magazines.
The team is highly experienced in developing concepts, story-lining, story boarding, scripting, shooting and editing.
Video spots produced include the promotion of reproductive health rights
i.e. young people's right to access information and learn about reproductive health, the right to make informed decisions about birth spacing and women's rights during pregnancy.
The video team also works on longer-format health documentaries, both for CHEMS activities, but also for other NGOs. A series of documentaries on youth advocacy for reproductive health rights will commence production in 2006.
Media Campaigns
CHEMS has produced annual media campaigns focusing on youth reproductive health rights, using radio and video spots, songs, karaoke and comic books. The media campaigns receive extensive coverage on domestic television and radio, with CDs, VCDs and DVDs freely distributed to people in city and rural areas.
